Tento článek shrnuje informace obsažené v knize Improving Speech Intelligibility in Adults: Clinical Application of Evidence-Based Strategies, autorky Connie Porcaro (Plural Publishing, Inc. 2023). Konkrétní podrobnosti o hodnocení a napravování srozumitelnosti, jakož i užitečné kontrolní seznamy a odkazy najdete v uvedené knize. Logopedové mohou mít významný vliv na zlepšení srozumitelnosti klientů tím, že je naučí používat strategie, jak sdělovat podstatné informace komunikačním partnerům. Logopedové by měli usnadnit vzájemné komunikační role tím, že podpoří používání strategií na straně posluchačů a všech účastníků komunikace k optimalizaci prostředí které napomáhá optimálnímu dorozumívání.
