Overview

The paper provides an overvi ew of paedi atric tumo urs most frequently metastasizing to bone marrow, revi ews bri efly possible clinical and laboratory signs of metastases and lists and evalu ates morphological methods of their di agnosis with particular focus on haematological investigati ons of bone marrow aspirati ons. The paper bri efly to uches upon the morphology of the most important tumo urs in this gro up and, in attachments, presents their microphotographs with explanatory notes. Possible difficulti es faced by the clinici ans when evalu ating the tumo urs are highlighted. The a uthors cite published literature and share experi ences from their own practice.
