A review on prevention of injuries in the Czech Republic and worldwide trends, causes of accidents, lay aid and professional aid in prevention of sequelae of accidents, appeal of the J. E. Purkyně Medical Association for suggestions to prevent and reduce sequelae of injuries is presented.
