Occupational Tropical Malaria Acquired during Work in Sudan after Discontinuation of Chemoprophylaxis with Lariam

The authors present an account on occupational tropical malaria acquired during work in Sudan. The disease was most probably manifested because of discontinued chemoprophylaxis with Lariam. During a check-up examination six months after the acute attack the health status is clinically and according to laboratory tests quite stabilized. No relapse of malaria developed.
