The journal provides information and background for the postgraduate education of general practitioners as well as physicians in other specialties.
It acquaints readers with a whole range medical issues, both professionally and in terms of social, legal and economic aspects.
All manuscripts undergo an editorial review and a review process.
Regular sections provide comprehensive communications relating the current clinical issues also supplemented with summary notifications on new theoretical findings.
Recent findings from individual fields, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures are analogous to "innovative courses" and their publication provides readers with insightful and understandable information about what is happening in all major fields of medicine.
The articles which are focused on the most common issues in practice are intended mainly for general practitioners and the sections dealing with the synthesis of a biological and psychosocial view, immediate and ever-present ethical issues, legal and economical issues and history are intended both for them and other experts.
Information about new books, scientific events, conference reports, interim reports on the principal political issues affecting medicine and the issue of postgraduate education are provided to the readers in a timely and reliable fashion.
