Overview
Perioperative mortality is a good measure of the quality of cardiac surgery. Methods of cardiac perioperative risk assessment in the European system (EuroSCORE and EuroSCORE II) are intended for perioperative mortality prediction in patients undergoing cardiac surgery. According to these stratification systems, perioperative risk estimation in patients before cardiac surgery is very precise compared to the real mortality data.
