Overview
Quadricuspid aortic valve is a rare congenital heart defect, and when present, it is associated very often with presention of aortic valve regurgitation. Transthoracic 2D echocardiography can delineate aortic valve structure and diagnose most quadricuspid aortic valves. This article is a case report of a patient with regurgitant quadricuspid aortic valve diagnosed by transesophageal echocardiography.
