Overview
The authors describe an expert system enabling detection, archiving and evaluation of followed parameters during application of nitric oxide inclinical practice. Minimal hardware configuration for detached application work-station is presented. The configuration should guarantee compati-bility of the application device Pulmonox (Messer, Austria) and monitoring system with detecting computer or server of a computer network. In detailthere is described software for on-line and long-term trend evaluation of data. The evolvement of complex registration system as a basis for expertsystem presents a new approach toward evaluation of nitric oxide application in clinical practice.
Key words:
nitric oxide – nitric superoxide – monitoring – ventilator – watchdog – detached work-station – complex registration system
