Overview
Following short historical introduction, the authors present a survey of key effect of nitric oxide in organism. Special attention is devoted to theeffect of nitric oxide on pulmonary circulation and gas exchange. There are outlined principal indications and contraindication of inhalationaladministration of nitric oxide for therapeutical purposes, along with key causes of its non-standard effect.
