News Previous Treatment of Osteoporosis May Affect the Efficacy of Romosozumab
A study conducted by a team of authors from several clinical sites in Japan shows that the type and duration of previous osteoporosis treatment just before starting romosozumab affects its therapeutic effect. Romosozumab, as an antibody targeting sclerostin, stimulates bone formation and suppresses bone resorption. The authors of the study investigated whether the efficacy of 12-month treatment with romosozumab depends on the duration of prior treatment with teriparatide, denosumab, or oral bisphosphonates.Source: Osteoporosis – Trends in Sequential Therapy 9. 5. 2024News INFOGRAPHIC: Mavacamten in the treatment of obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy

The goal of glaucoma treatment is to preserve the visual field and the quality of life of patients. Currently, the only approach to preserving the visual field of patients is to reduce intraocular pressure (IOP). Its target value should be determined for each patient with consideration of individual risk factors. The following comprehensive infographic shows which factors should be considered according to the current recommendations of the European Glaucoma Society (EGS).Source: Treatment of Glaucoma 14. 7. 2023News INFOGRAPHIC: Diagnosis and Monitoring of Patients with Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy – Current Guidelines
