In recent years, the treatment strategy in patients with rheumatoid arthritis has been changing. The treatmentprocedures are more aggressive, medicaments are prescribed in higher dosages and in more frequent combinations. One of the most important remedy ranked among DMARDs is also Methotrexate. In view of the fact that itis familiar to many physicians and patients as well as cytostatic, there is not usually a great readiness to prescribeand use it. However, it is a very useful remedy of such an aggressive disease as rheumatoid arthritis and also thedosage applied in rheumatology is safe.The paper refers to its many good and irreplaceble properties as concernsthe treatment of rheumatoid arthritis.
