Obesity and its influence on sexual dysfunctions

Overview
A satisfaction with sexual life represents one part of the quality of life. Obesity of 2nd and 3rd grade and its comorbidities increase the probability of sexual dysfunctions. A significant reduction of weight caused its improvement and even its alignment with the norm. In this article there are defined basic terms concerning obesity, sexuality and sexual dysfunctions. The role of a psychologist in the process of weight reduction and psychologic aspects of obesity are accented. There is described the role of obesity in relation to sexual dysfunctions and there are indicated possible connections with the psychic condition of an obese patient.
