Overview

Mucosal malignant melanoma (MMs) of the nasal cavity is an extremely rare malignant tumor with poor prognosis. In this case report, we present 64-years-old patient with MMs of the nasal cavity. Early diagnosis and radical surgical treatment is crucial for following course of this unfavorable disease. Unfortunately, patients often present in the advanced stage of the disease and nonspecific appearance of the tumor facilitates the late diagnosis. Due to its rarity and different biologic behaviour was TNM classification of the MMs accepted in 2009.
