The objective of the investigation was to study the effect of the preparation Juwimwhich contains a mixture of nucleotides, amino acids and oligopeptides on levels of secretoryIgA in saliva of young subjects. Juwim is part of the dietary supplement Preventan. Levels ofsecretory IgA were investigated in saliva before administration of 1 tablet of Preventan per dayfor a period of 30 days and after their administration. The effect of Juwim in Preventan wascompared with a preparation of similar composition as Preventan but without Juwim. Fordetection of secretory IgA the authors used the commercial set Binding Site ScIgA. They foundthat after administration of 30 tablets of Preventan containing Juwim the ScIgA levels in salivaof the examined subjects were significanly raised as compared with ScIgA levels in saliva ofsubjects given the preparation without Juwim.
