Current guidelines emphasize the importance of early diagnosis and immediate treatment for patients with heart failure (HF). These patients are most vulnerable immediately after the decompensation of chronic HF, and intensive treatment can therefore reduce the risk of further hospitalization and mortality. The prognosis for these patients is unfavorable, and any delay in initiating therapy further worsens it. The treatment of chronic HF is often postponed if the symptoms are stable, and the risk of adverse outcomes and sudden death is underestimated. The time factor thus plays a significant role in all stages of HF.Source: Heart Failure 13. 11. 2023News MUDr. Petra Garnolová: The combination of medical cannabis with other analgesics is the ideal way to achieve the best effect with the fewest side effects
Medical cannabis is gradually finding its way to many patients with various ailments, including those with unmanageable and hard-to-influence chronic pain. For them, this therapy can offer a new chance at a quality life despite severe or terminal illness. A relatively new form that brings additional benefits is the extract of medical cannabis. We spoke with MUDr. Petra Garnolová, a specialist in clinical oncology and palliative medicine, about why it is worth considering not only as part of analgesic therapy and her experiences from real practice.Source: Medical Cannabis 8. 1. 2024News CASE STUDY: Oral Semaglutide in a Young Diabetic = Weight Loss and CV Risk Reduction, Better Adherence and Treatment Comfort

It is most often the general practitioner (GP) who first diagnoses diabetes. Whether during preventive check-ups, preoperative examinations, or based on the patient's clinical issues. Doctors regularly encounter patients in their offices who complain about changes in the appearance of their chronically used medications. Such a change can even be the cause of non-adherence to treatment. Interesting findings on this topic were brought by an American survey aimed at identifying the preferences, experiences, and reactions of patients and pharmacists related to changes in the appearance of medications.Source: Cardiovascular Continuum 23. 2. 2022Články časopisu Diabetes and Schizophrenia
