Děti s vadou sluchu – prevence vzniku a rozvoje jazykové deprivace

Overview
Screening sluchu novorozenců snížil věk, ve kterém je u dětí obvykle diagnostikována vada sluchu. Díky včasné diagnóze mohou děti dostat kompenzační pomůcky do nebo kolem 1 roku, tj. ještě v předřečovém období. Součástí rehabilitace dítěte s vadou sluchu je rehabilitace sluchového vnímání, péče o rozvoj mluvené řeči, ale také včasné nastavení vhodných komunikačních prostředků obecně – včetně prostředků vizuální komunikace, tedy i znakového jazyka. Potřeba a míra vizuální komunikace se v jednotlivých skupinách dětí se sluchovou vadou liší. Kazuistický přístup ukazuje nutnost zvažovat individuální situaci dítěte. V úvahu je třeba brát typ sluchové vady, rozsah sluchové ztráty, věk dítěte, příp. jeho další handicap. Praxe potvrzuje jako přínosné zapojení odborníků napříč obory do procesu vhodné volby komunikačních prostředků pro dítě s vadou sluchu.
