Overview
The authors present the system of the social insurance in the Slovak Republic, organization and activities of the Social Insurance Agency in Slovakia, the scope of the Medical Assessment Service activities in the system of social security. They focus on the Medical Assessment Service activities in the field of health insurance while they present the duties of general practitioners and insured persons. This article brings information about the medical judgment in two other areas of the social insurance – the disability and accident insurance.
