Revision Medicine and the future

Overview
Revision medicine was originated and has developed on the basis of medical insurance. It is dependent on rational development of health insurance and its stability. The activity of revision physicians reflects insufficiencies of the system and lacking their solution resulted in stagnation of the branch. Based on the Program Declaration of the Government from 2010 the author shows new possibilities for implementing the experience of revision physicians and draws attention to the fact that without them a meaningful realization will not become possible.
The quantitative improvement should be implemented by connecting the health and medical insurance, new categorization of medical resources, a new therapeutic drug politics and more emphasis on the responsibility of medical insurance companies in covering the cost of therapeutic drugs and remedies. A significant motivation for revision physicians and workers of the control, collaboration in unification of medical and health insurance, forming the prices in medical care, specification of standards – requirements for medical care provide from general, public health insurance and specification of the long-term medical-social care including a general system of medical-social services.
The authors proposes and suggestion for foundation of a Medical Service, similar to the institution already in use in FRG. In the forefront of interest there should be the protection of the patient’s rights in securing the requirements for the extent of provide care from public medical insurance.
The extent of success of the revision medicine branch will depend on the activity of revision physicians at all steps of modernization of medical insurance.
