Overview

Telemedicine utilization in general practitioner practice was exceptionally accelerated by COVID-19 outbreak. Czech guidelines "Telemedicine" became the basic tool for coping professional, economic, and legal problems and doubts.

Requisite requirements for telemedicine application are clear rules and factual and economic benefits of the distant care. The telemedicine consultation is basic manner; it must meet good medicine practice including proper health documentation. Health insurance payments is another condition for telemedicine consultation.

Telemedicine counseling, which is not medical procedure and is not reimbursed from health insurance, must be distinguished.
