Overview
Cancer prevention is an important component of the work of primary care physicians. This work brings two case reports of skin tumours. In the first case, the multicentre basal cell carcinoma in 64-year-old man, and in the second case massive condylomata acuminata in 35-year-old man. Although there are effective ways of skin tumours prevention, a trend in the incidence of skin tumours shows, that primary preventive procedures are underestimated. Therefore, there is a need of secondary prevention in the form of consistent skin control within regular preventive visits at general practitioner. Regular skin checks are inexpensive and easy to perform. Detection of skin cancer in its early stages usually enables the use of easier and cheaper therapies, which are better tolerated by the patient, thereby improving the quality of patient’s life that medical intervention may prolong and sometimes directly save.
