Overview

Acute coronary syndrome caused by embolization of the afferent coronary artery is fairly common. In many cases it is advisable to exclude intracardial thrombus or search for shunt blood circulation between right and left ventricle.

Here we present the case report of a patient after non-transmural acute myocardial infarction, which had been caused by an embolization. The infarction was treated with direct percutaneous coronary angioplasty. Later we diagnosed a left atrium myxoma.

Key words:
myxoma, embolization, acute coronary syndrome.
