Based on the available literature the author summarizes possible methods of evaluation ofpostoperative pain - non-verbal methods (visual analogue scale - VAS, map of pain), verbalmethods (verbal description scale - VDS, scale of interference of intensity of pain with everydayactivities etc.). The author mentions also possibilities of treatment of postoperative pain.
