The author presents the main trends assessed as regards the age of first sexual intercourse, number of partners, use of contraception and protection against sexually transmitted diseases etc. The changes in sexual behaviour of the population of the Czech Republic are essentially positive and in all main characteristics they follow the development recorded in recent decades in populations of advanced western European countries.
