Overview

This field of dermatovenereology includes skin surgery and aesthetic dermatology comprising surgical and non-surgical methods. The review lists the fields of cosmetic dermatology and specifies requirements for specialization exam. It introduces the principles of skin surgery, skin flaps and skin grafting. The surgical treatment of hidradenitis suppurativa, rhinophyma, nail unit surgery and laser skin surgery are described. Non-surgical methods including skin augmentation, botulotoxin application and chemical peels are mentioned.
