Objective:
Summary of management of retroperitoneal endometriosis.Design: Review of the literature with actual experience of the author.Setting: Institute For the Care of Mother and Child, Prague - Podolí, Postgraduate Medical Scho-ol, Prague.Results: Retroperitoneal endometriosis is a serious disease especially in fertile women. It is oftenunderdiagnosed. The surgical treatment is considered as a golden standard of the therapy, hor-monal treatment is of low importance, only together with surgical removement of endometriotictissue. The surgery of retroperitoneal endometriosis is one of the most difficult surgical gynaeco-logical procedures and should be concentrated into specialised centres with experienced oncolo-gical surgeons.Key words:
