The authors specify the most frequent indication groups of health transports - transport to spas, transport torepeated examinations or treatment. They also discussed frequent mistakes as regards indication of healthtransport and lack of knowledge of the pertaining legislation. Information on important documents - 34 order ofhealth transport, and 39 refunding of travel expenses for use of private care - is supplemented by analysis ofactual and formal shortcomings. The authors mention two important problems: justified accompanying of thepatient during health transport and long-distance transport of the patient, i.e. correct assessment of the distanceto the nearest health centre which can provide the required care.
