Overview

The case report describes a case of a 78-year-old patient after microlaryngosurgery with intubation and with stenosis in the area of the posterior glottic commissure. The solution method is a new procedure using a silicone stent inserted and sewn into the tunnel in the area of the stenosis. The silicone stent was removed after 5 weeks, and the remaining part of the stenosis was interrupted. The surgical procedure in the patient led to decannulation, voice improvement and increased the quality of life. This treatment method appears to be a suitable way of solving some types of stenosis in the area of the posterior glottic commissure.
