Overview
The article deals with the attitudes of employees health insurance companies to alternatives of development as regards fundingof the Czech health services. The present state is evaluated and the further possible development of the system is outlined.The Union of Health Insurances defined priorities which it will enforce in legislative regulations and practice. The main pointis that the citizen should be the determining element in the development of the whole system of public health insurance toreinforce his motivation for interest in his own health and its protection. Further more it involves:- maintenance of the plurality system of health insurance incl. the possibility of commercial additional insurance within theirframework of health insurance companies,- equal rights for all health insurance companies on the basis of a single law and safeguarding of the development of thepresent system by gradual steps limited in time and tested experimentally. Preserve the existing role of the state and resolvethe causes which threaten the levelled economic balance, in particular as regards incomes.
