Overview
Background.
Vacuum biopsy device (mammotome) was primary developed for invasive diagnosis of the mammary gland.Methods and Results.
In Radiological department of Masaryk Memorial Cancer Institute we use the mammotome not only for breast tissue sampling.Conclusions.
The device is used also for extraction of tumor specimens in advanced epithelial, mesenchymal or the other histological type of tumors for further chemoresistance testing.Key words:
