Overview

One quarter of the human population in Europe suffers from skin diseases. The treatment, clinical research and the organization of dermatological praxis differ in each European country resulting high differences in the level of care and aims of the dermatological research. All that brings great disadvantage for patients. Many dermatologists see this situation and try to cooperate within the Euopean Union to utilize experience, individual levels and requirements in order to form standards acceptable for members of European community and for its adepts. One of the important dermatological societies is the European Dermatological Forum (EDF), which invited 80 European professors of dermatology to consider present situation and by the power of their eminency to introduce „codes of dermatological game“. These theses should be valid not only for dermatology but they may also become essential parts of negotiations of Ministers of Health and Health’s Committees of individual parliaments.
