Overview

The authors present a case report of blood flow failure through a venous bypass on the lower limb. Preoperative examinations, including ultrasonography and angiogramy, did not reveal the etiology, nor the exact location of the obstruction. Only intraoperative angioscopy enabled identification of the obstruction site. After targeted treatment – with a venous patch – a follow-up angioscopy showed a patent lumen of the bypass and thereby enabled restoration of free blood flow.

Key words:
angioscopy, venous bypass, intimomedial hyperplasia.
