Increasing the quality of healthcare at the GP's office depends on the accrediting of theworkplace, on the professional training of the staff, on instrumentation, on the spatial lay-outof the facility, and on the quality of the managing system.One of the paths of improving the quality of management is the introduction of assuring qualityaccording to ISO 9001 and consequent certification of the healthcare facility. Certificationincludes a preparatory stage, the phase of certification proper finalized by a professional audit,and the stage of continuous keeping with the set standards and procedures in the healthcarefacility meeting the quality pattern of health care provided to clients of the GP's office.The major objective of introducing the ISO quality assurance system is the establishing andscrutiny of the patient's requirements regarding the product, i.e. health care.
