The authors summarize pieces of knowledge concerning the situation in the field of prostitutionin certain European countries and particularly in the Czech Republic. They analyze the majortrends in the field of trafficking in women, the factors that lead certain women to offer paid sex(foremost economic migration), the prevailing forms of prostitution, and the major problemswhich commercial sex workers face.
