Experience with Vacuum-Compression Therapy in the Treatment of IschemicDisease of Lower Extremities

The authors deals with the use of vacuum-compressive therapy in the treatment of patientssuffering from ischemic disease of lower extremities. In the period of observation 15 patients,13 men and two women, were treated. The claudication interval of the more affected extremitywas established as the main criterion. The evaluation was done according to clinical criteriaand in the form of a questionnaire. The claudication interval increased in all probands and theincrease persisted in the subsequent months. The vacuum-compression treatment is consideredas a positive haemodynamic therapeutic method in the complex therapy of ischaemic diseaseof lower extremities.
