Uncommon Course of Bacterial Meningitis in Children - Case-records

Overview
Two case reports of an atypical course of pneumococcal meningitis are presented. In the first case there wasa fudroyant course, with only one positive microbiological finding and a fatal outcome. The second case was a boywith concomitant mastoiditis, necessary of surgery, a severe clinical course, but a favourable outcome. After twoyears his neurological status is normal.
