Overview

Drug induced lupus is caused by use of certain drugs. In the arcticle are discussed possible induced agents, with new immunomodulatory drugs, that can lead to drug induced lupus. So called anti-TNF lupus (ATIL) is very rarely manifested after using some biological agents. Author described clinically and laboratory differencies in both diseases. The induced agent must be withdrawn, in the difficult cases of drug induced lupus immunosupressive glucocorticoid therapy is necessary.
