The Position of Drospirenone in Premenstrual Syndrome Teratment

To evaluate influence of hormonal contraceptive drospirenone on premenstrual syndrome (PMS).Design:

Review of scientific studies and publications.Conclusions:
The author submitted current opinions on premenstrual syndrome, its classification, and treatment. The role of renin – aldosterone system in the genesis of PMS was described. Basic pharmacological characteristics of the remedy containing in one pill 30 mg of Ethinyl Estradiol (EE) and 3 mg of drospirenone are presented. Its therapeutic effects on somatic and psychological PMS symptoms are discussed.Key words:
