Epilepsy in pregnancy

Overview

In this article there are presented the basic information concerning epilepsy, its classification, clinical picture and therapy, also is summarized the dispensarization of the patient in neurological and gynaecological ambulance, outlined the issue of administration of antiepileptic drugs, their teratogenicity and the influence on haemostasis. A special chapter is dedicated to the decompensation of epilepsy in pregnancy, parturition and the period of confinement.
