Clinical experiences with low-dose hormone replacement therapy

Overview
Objective:
To evaluate the compliance of low-dose hormone replacement therapy with norethisterone acetate.
Methods:
Open prospective non-randomised study with 50 women in age from 48 to 58 years. Patients were divided into five groups by time from menopause and type of last therapy.
Results:
The irregular vaginal bleeding was the most common case of termination of therapy. Total compliance after 12 month was 72%, after 36 months 60%.
Conclusion:
We support literary conclusions that low-dose hormone replacement therapy is effective in therapy of acute climacteric syndrome. It is conected with low incidence of adverse effects.
