Quinckeho edém je nezánětlivý, recidivující edém podkožní a podslizniční tkáně,nejčastěji v oblasti obličeje, rtů a jazyka. Otok obvykle není pro pacienta nebezpečný, riziko spočíváv možném vývoji otoku hrtanu a obstrukce dýchacích cest. Etiologii většinou nelze určit.Ve sdělení je popsána kazuistika 76leté pacientky s 20 let opakujícími se epizodami edému a kopřivky.
