Overview

At the district office of the General Health Insurance Company in the capital of Prague the revision activities aredivided into two departments -⁠ the health care department and the revision department. The revision departmentis concerned with planned revisions, aimed revisions , to a smaller extent with assessment , sanctioning andgranting activities. Based on investigations in health facilities or on mere checking of invoices in the informationsystem a report is prepared which is processed by means of SLSTORNA, a tool of the information system. Duringrevisions the standard of the revision is emphasized as well as unequivical findings of the investigation in a healthinstitution. The revision report is sent first to the concerned institution for comment and after evaluation of thefinancial consequences the report is put into effect.
