Je podán přehled současných názorů na nejčastější antropozoonózu -⁠ lymeskou boreliózu. Je zmíněna její historie,mikrobiologie původce -⁠ Borrelia burgdorferi, epidemiologie, patogeneze, laboratorní a klinická diagnostika.Rovněž jsou stručně popsána klinická stadia, formy a možnosti terapie.
