Overview
This article comments a new Czech legislation of previously expressed wishes. According to the law only this wish should be respected, which is made after a consultation with general practitioner. This places great demands upon him/her. But above all, the text of law opens many questions not discussed in broad political, medical and ethical consequences. This also increases the insecurity both of patients and doctors.
Key words:
Advance directives, previously expressed wishes, autonomy of a patient
