Overview
The authors offer an insight into sociological research and reflect upon various ethical problems connected with it. An interview can be useful for a patient but it can also bring some risks. One issue is how to obtain “correct” informed consent with an interview in a qualitative research when it is impossible to foresee all of the topics of the interview. A paper based on performed interviews can be interesting but it can also be mortifying for both the subjects/patients and health care providers.
Key words:
Informed consent; research ethics; qualitative research; sociological research.
