The authors give an account of their initial experience with a non-invasive method for detection of Helicobacter pylori. For detection a Premier Platinum HpSATM set was used. Detection is based on a standard ELISA method and makes rapid and unpretentious diagnosis with high specificity and sensitivity possible.In the examined 82 subjects a baseline examination was made and an examination after standard treatment. The authors assessed the optimal period for a check-up examination after treatment - at the end of the second month after the baseline examination. In all investigated subjects negative findings esere achieved. During the long-term follow up the possibility of re-infection was found. The authors recommend to use the test as another suitable possibility for the diagnosis and follow up of the epidemiology of Helicobacter infection.
