Overview

Neuropathic pain is essentially of benign origin but due to its course and intensity it may be for the individual patient malignant pain. A very complicated problems is the treatment of this pain as common analgetic therapy is usually not sufficiently effective. Therefore it is necessary to use in treatment also other groups of drugs, other analgetic methods incl. the most modem ones (neuromodulation) and to make use of principles of comprehensive, individual and in a particular multidisciplinary approach during treatment of thus affected patients.
