Overview
Authors evaluate the effect of comprehensive spa treatment on selected parameters of the health status of a group of children with the diagnoses of asthma bronchiale and bronchitis obstructiva. In the course of six weeks in the spa at the beginning and at the end of the stay basic spirometric examinations were made using apparatus Pony of Cosmed Co. Their physical fitness was examined by the step test, twice per day the maximum expiration rate was recorded and the index of variability was calculated. The results were evaluated by the paired Wilcoxon test. In the group of children improvement of volume and airflow indicators was recorded as well as improvement of physical fitness.
