Overview
Imperfect treatment of lost dental tissue can easily lead to its other destruction and dental sensitivity. Today, we have a possibility to treat and fill lost dental crown with adhesive technique and filling composite resins. Authors try in the report to evaluate adhesive systems of Vth and VIth Generation from a view of achieving optimal hermetical sealing of prepared tissue and perfect aesthetical filling in dental cervical region as a recurrent caries formation prevention. In the study we evaluated adhesive systems type total-etch (Vth generation) and self-etch (Vith generation) according to ISO/TS 11405.2003 E. The study confirms that present dentinal adhesives when exact indications and directions for use are followed, create optimal hermetic sealing of dentinal tubules in prepared or in other way destroyed dental tissue. The created hybrid layer enables to build up plastic filling with excellent marginal sealing. It also prevents bacterial percolation to such treated tissue and prevents recurrent caries formation.
