Overview
Summary:
The authors present the results of 7-years clinical evaluation of enosseal dentalimplants VNI (produced in the Czech Republic) at the Dental Clinic in Brno (former 2nd DentalClinic). Clinical success rate of total 340 VNI dental implants applied in 163 patient aged from16 to 75 years was evaluated in the period of 1–7 years after implant insertion. Apart of wholeset of patients, age-, sex-, upper jaw-, and lower jaw-related subsets were evaluated usingradiovisiographically. In addition, the success rate in patients exhibiting prosthetic indicationof dental implants used as abutments was evaluated. Mean clinical success rate of dentalimplants was about 90 %. Radiovisiographic analyses, however, showed that optimum osseo-integration of dental implants was 20–30 % lower in spite of full functioning of the implants.Clinical evaluation proved that VNI dental implants were comparable to other cylindric dentalimplants produced in the Czech Republic or abroad.Key words:
cylindric enosseal implant VNI – titanium – clinical successful – osseointegra-tion – age – prosthetic indications – radiovisiography
