Coated implants are distinguishable by several advantages in a short term viewbut many author cost doubt upon there long-term effectiveness. Evaluating informationpublished in scientific sources, the authors agreed on the fact that the quality of the hydroxyapatite coating is insufficiently explored and that the contemporary standard of since doesn’twarrant to pronounce definitive judgement.
